Stronger Together – Skills for Women’s Cooperatives & the Social Economy

A free, open online course that gives women’s cooperatives and grassroots groups practical, inclusive tools to grow — covering Erasmus+ basics, administration and finance, digital visibility, gender equality and entrepreneurship, leadership, the social and solidarity economy, essential English, and inspiring community models from Dersim. Stronger Together – Skills for Women’s Cooperatives & the Social Economy is a free, fully open online course born from the Erasmus+ project of the same name, a partnership between ABARKA ONGD in the Basque Country (Spain) and the Zembul Women’s Cooperative in Tunceli/Dersim (Türkiye). It was created to support women’s economic independence through education, cultural interaction and the social and solidarity economy.

Across ten short, friendly modules, you will move from understanding how European opportunities like Erasmus+ work, to the everyday skills that keep a cooperative alive — administration and budgeting, getting seen online, leading with care, and building ventures that put people and the planet first. You will also discover the lived models of social cooperativism and solidarity-based municipalism, and the culture of Dersim that inspires them. Every module includes a short educational video, a downloadable booklet and a 10-question self-check, so you can learn at your own pace, on your own terms.

This course is designed for real people with real projects: women’s cooperatives, social entrepreneurs, migrant and local women, grassroots collectives and the trainers who support them. No prior knowledge is required — only the desire to learn and grow together. The course actively reflects inclusion and diversity, uses plain language, and is free and open to everyone, with no registration required.

This course contributes to the Erasmus+ horizontal priority ‘Inclusion and diversity’ and to the project’s focus on gender equality and women’s economic independence.
